“Juneteenth: What Freedom Means to Me” Art Exhibit

Alpharetta Food Truck Alley

Kick-off the weekend a little early at Alpharetta’s Food Truck Alley. Culinary options include more than 10 food trucks each month, offering a diverse range of cuisine types. This is a family-friendly event, with limited seating available and will feature live music each month! It is recommended that attendees bring a blanket or chair and leave pets at home for these events.
Old Roswell Street and the adjacent parking lot will be closed at 1:00 PM day-of-event. Parking is available in the parking decks at 92 Milton Ave. and 2 Park Plaza.

Book to Body- Soulful Simplicity w/ Alison Gurevich

Join Alison for the third selection in her Book to Body Series at Oya. Courtney Carver’s “Soulful Simplicity” is a fantastic book that aligns with the idea from the Bhagavad Gita that “Yoga is the journey of the self through the self to the self.” Alison will bring the main ideas from the book and lead a heart-centered practice to bring those words off the page and into our bodies. This practice will include a bit of talking, a bit of heart-opening yoga, a bit of journaling, and a bit of support and accountability from the group for your personal journey (if that is what you need).
Note: You do not have to read “Soulful Simplicity” to join in or benefit from this practice and discussion. However, you may find it enhances your participation.Please bring a journal and pen (if you do not have one, journals are available for sale in the Oya Yoga boutique).
